BACK HOE

In recent years, contractors have been called upon to perform miracles of construction and earth moving in the most inaccessible areas of the world. To help them do their job, Willlys Motors, Inc., together with equipment manufacturers the world over, has developed many implements and new uses for 'Jeep' 4-Wheel Drive vehicles. The Scheneker Back Hoe is an excellent example of our efforts to broaden the field of productive application inherent in the Willys Utility line, and it has been particularly successful in many areas since its development.

STANDARD EQUIPMENT

The Back Hoe is available in kit form or factory installed on the 'Jeep' Truck. The basic equipment consists of a standard 22" bucket; hydraulic pump for connection to the power take-off point; a bank of six control valves mounted and fitted to the hydraulic oil reservoir with all the necessary hoses and fittings; a set of five bi-directional, heavy chrome-plated hydraulic rams with a reinforced steel cross connecting arm; two hydraulic operating steel stabilizer pads; a 3/16" diamond plate steel platform and smooth steel rear fenders; a twenty-three gallon gasoline tank and a swivel type operator's seat.

To permit more specialized jobs to be done with the Back Hoe such as digging very narrow trenches or on the other hand, loading sand, the bucket size is not limited to the standard 22 I t . As optional equipment, a 10 " , 16 " , 20 " , 24" , or 36 " bucket may be ordered in addition to or in place of the standard scoop.

MARKET

The Scheneker Back Hoe is a multi-purpose digger and has a broad range of applications.  Builders, road engineers, maintenance outfits and contractors use it to dig trenches, sump pits, foundations, laterals, underground septic, gasoline, oil, reservoir pits and for general excavations, truck loading and pavement removal.
